I see so many blogs that start of great and then they stop posting content.

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

What a great post!

The culture of consumerism is changing - people now want to buy from brands they have a personal relationship with. I think blogging provides the perfect platform from which to establish this relationship.

Thanks,

Katie

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

What you say is completely true because while the business may be the moneymaker, the blog builds the personal relationships which can bring more sales and customers

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

its nice tips for changing culture of online business to be better. online business be able to be simple and easier. thank you

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

@Dan, multiple streams of income applies just as much to the online world.

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

Interesting and Very good tips for blogging. Its time for reality check. You can make money online with a blog, but you are probably not going to make a whole lot of money with ONE BLOG.

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

Thanks Milton and I hope you will get that blog going soon.

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

Great post Bloke! Today our official hexahost blog http://hexahost.com/blogs/ not just carries about us, about the whole sphere of web hosting. To deal with transparency your blog contents are not notifiers.
I personaly felt it in my business one of our custoemr during the signup wrote a mail to us saying that "he is ready to risk few dollars in new hosting company not just for the service, specially for the understanding we have in the business we do". Our official blog helped us to say more than adds.
Blogging is a way to go for web sttartups.

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

I think that a business having a blog is an easy way to communicate and have a conversation with your customers without requiring a huge outlay of capital or technical skills to make it happen.

Also, with the number of desktop blogging application now on the market, you could have a staff member post to the blog for you with little technical knowledge required.

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

Well said Doug.

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

I couldn't agree more. One item that stood out to me was not letting just anyone blog for your company. I absolutely agree - but your audience shouldn't think that this means to leave to the CEO or Marketing staff. Sometimes you'll find people within your organization that you would never expect will be your best writers - knowledgeable (sometimes first hand), entertaining, funny, and personable.

Douglas Karr's last blog post..links for 2008-06-20

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

Best post on this topic bar none!

Re: Should Your Business be Blogging?

Awesome post.
